The Simple Woman's Daybook -- July 19, 2011

FOR TODAY
Outside my window. . . is sunny and incredibly muggy here today. Condensation has settled on the windows. It's going to be a long day!

I am thinking. . . that it is past time for me to be well! I'm going back to the doctor this afternoon to try and get rid of a bladder/kidney infection that just won't go away!

I am thankful. . . for all the prayers that are being offered up on my father-in-law's behalf. He is in the hospital for tests today. Please add him to your list if you feel so moved.

From the learning rooms. . . ds is reading Night by Elie Wiesel. He is also working on preparing for AP courses in psychology and human geography.

In the kitchen. . . not much since I've been sick. Last night the kids made dinner: grilled burgers, baked beans and chips.

I am wearing
. . . my gown and robe. I need to get dressed soon, for my doctor's appointment.

I am creating. . . a shawl for the KFH's mother. Just about done!

I am going. . . to crochet, rest and go to the doctor.

I am wondering. . . why life always seems to "pour" challenges and never just "sprinkle".

I am reading. . . well I tried to read Dingley Falls by Michael Malone but I just can't do it. I don't care!

I am hoping. . . for good tests results for my dear father-in-law today and a speedy recovery if that is God's plan.

I am looking forward to. . . feeling better soon and getting back to a normal routine -- whatever that is!

I am hearing. . . the TV. I watch too much tv when I'm not feeling well.

Around the house. . . things are clean! I have hired my ds's girlfriend to clean house for me twice a month. She came to clean yesterday for the first time and did a great job!
What a blessing : )

I am pondering. . . not much except feeling better!

One of my favorite things. . . is my iPod Touch. Last night dd showed me a cool free app that has multiple Bible translations and reading programs. I'm hooked on this one!

A few plans for the rest of the week: we are in wait and see mode around here. Waiting for tests results and Mama (me) to feel better.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing. . .

  1. OK, I'm working on the alphabet poster . . . also hoping you get over your infection (reminds me to go take my antibiotic just because they cut on me) and that Alan's dad is better. For some reason I only seem to get commercial news on my home page when I click on that . . . I don't know if that is random or what. But it almost never posts your stuff.
