:: right now ::

I'm looking around at things and seeking lots of changes. in my home. in my kids. in me.

change is inevitable, and sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's not.

but today, I'm celebrating change.

here. now. this way.

:: words from my daughter --
Everywhere! Things that had seemed mundane are now bright. But the bright things looking brighter does at times mean the dark things look darker. Yin and yang. Dark and light. This is our world and i wish more people could wake up and truly see it.

:: my son home from college --

:: my return beading, for the love of it --

:: creating my summer environment --

:: playing with yarn for the fun of it --

:: accepting chaos as I work to achieve order --

:: this verse (Isaiah 43:1) --
But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.

:: recognizing some truths as I heal --
Effort born out of striving to please God never ceases to tire us.
Effort born out of resting in his pleasure never ceases to renew us.
peace and blessings to you all

:: right now ::

:: right now I am . . .

:: grateful to have the visitation and funeral for my father-in-law behind us

:: not sure how I'm feeling with all these emotions swirling around in my head

:: glad to have both my kids and husband home for one more day

:: blessed to have had family and friends gather with us to talk, laugh, and cry as we said goodbye

:: marveling at the amount of things to do and stuff to be taken care of!

:: tired and yet unable to get enough rest to feel better

:: looking forward to 4 new beading projects I have lined up over the past weeks

:: trying to decide on my next crochet project -- I keep finding more and more patterns I want to try

:: pleased with the wonderful quartet of men who sang so beautifully at the funeral

:: anticipating finding my rhythm and routine again very soon

:: stunned that somehow it is suddenly May

peace and blessings to you all

:: right now ::

Right now I am . . .

:: seeing the rain and clouds lingered from overnight.

:: remembering the sun on my face as we rode the air-boat across the clear water.

:: smiling at the joy my husband found while we were in Florida.

:: marveling at the wonder, awe, and majesty of God's creations.

:: laughing as I remember finding this book in an antique store, especially the page headed "Everyday Errors in Room Arrangement" from 1933.

:: happy to be back home with my tree and both kids home from college.

:: looking forward to using my new sewing/crafting basket from SERRV.

:: relishing these oranges bought to support a local school. So delicious, and a nice reminder of Florida, and holidays from my childhood.

:: focusing on some good thoughts I've read/heard lately:

There's no reason to race. In fact, there's every reason not to. -- SouleMama

. . . so much of it is just noise and all that really counts are relationships. Finding your own truth. Putting your hand on your heart and following it. Life's short. And chaotic and blissful and changeable and inspiring and too much fun to miss. Hand on heart. Follow it. -- inner pickle

:: right now

Right now, I am...

:: sipping tea on this chilly spring morning

:: wondering what this day will bring

:: loving the walk that husband and I took around the lake yesterday

:: anticipating a day of homemaking

:: reeling from the intense emotions of the past few days

:: listening to Florence & the Machine on Pandora

:: counting the birds flitting to and fro around my bird feeder

:: hoping for an improved outlook and mood today

:: believing in the gift of spring and new beginnings

:: confirming my value as a child of God

:: making a menu and grocery list so that I can provide nourishment for my family

:: thinking about what is truly important to accomplish on any given day

:: doing my best to redeem the day

:: deciding which projects to expend my energy first

:: getting excited about sewing again

:: wanting to have a good day

:: leaving the stress of the past few days out of my plans for today

:: wishing you all a very lovely day.
