I've become lazy. Reflection is difficult. It's too easy to just write something to get it done.
Reflection on life experience is painful. Soul searching. Archaeological. I haven't been willing to dig lately. Earlier this week I began to see the need for more reflection.
I don't want to live a shallow life, but it's easy to fall into old habits. Taking the path of least resistance. The holidays remind of why I chose to leave that path.
Once I wrote about it. Surface people. I don't want to dance round in a ring and suppose. I want to get to the middle and know.
So I keep reflecting -- on my history, on my path, on my dreams. And by doing that, I hope to reflect the love of God to others.

I agree that this is the perfect time of the year for reflecting! Visiting from FMF. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree that reflecting can be painful but is good to do. I am a FMF neighbor. Merry Christmas and God Bless. Patti
