I care too much.

I care about the homeless and hungry.

I care about animals and world peace.

I care about other people and what they may think of me.

I care about perceptions and misunderstandings.

I turn it over to God.

And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

--Micah 6:8

Everything is easier. I can breathe again.

I still care, but I am not drowning in it.

  1. Yes, caring can become overwhelming! I try to practice justice in small ways - gardening, praying, reading.... It helps temper my overwhelming desire to help in big ways. Thank you for the reminder!

  2. I hear ya here! Caring too much can be exhausting. It goes from caring to carrying...and then we have to lay it down from pure exhaustion! Thank you for these words! :)

  3. Caring so much also hurts some. There is so many needs but we can only meet those that God brings to us

  4. With you on the 'caring becoming overwhelming' front...
