Who Has Seen the Wind?
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
This was one of my favorite poems as a child.
My mother used to sing to me with a haunting tune
that I found strangely soothing.
I think I originally read this poem in a Little
Golden Book, however I can't find it in one currently.
If anyone knows about availability in that format, I'd
love to get a copy.
Enjoy!
